New members are welcome to join our club at any time throughout the year. For more information email us at info@hvcv.com

If you would prefer to join or renew via a form, please download the form here, alternatively you can join online by selecting the membership level most relevant to you below.

Please see below for the membership levels and fees. There may look like a lot of membership options, but the main differences are:

  • Single - allows one member to attend HVCV events;
  • Family - allows unlimited people who live at the same address to attend;
  • Puppy Buyer - is an introductory membership for people who have a new puppy.  Some of our affiliated breeders offer a discounted membership at this level;
  • Interstate and Overseas are for people who don't live in Victoria, Australia.
  • VCA member - means you belong to Dogs Victoria and can provide your member number. If you don't, we add an extra levy that we pay to Dogs Victoria to cover public liability insurance, unless you live interstate or overseas.
  • Registered Breeders are for breeders who have a registered kennel prefix with the ANKC. This option allows registered breeders to also apply to appear on our breeder directory.

If you are not sure about whether to join, the Club provides the following services for our members:

Information: Reassurance and guidance to new owners.

Newsletter:
 Members receive "Russet Rumours" a regular newsletter containing information about club activities and news about Vizslas.

Fun Days: Are held regularly for owners and their dogs to get together and socialise. This day is especially good for those who are thinking about getting a Vizsla as they can speak to the many pet owners who come along.

Club Events: The club holds Championship Shows, an Obedience and Rally-O Trial, an Agility/Jumping Trial, and an Endurance Test annually. We also hold training days for some of these disciplines.

Breed Information Stands: We have a Vizsla display at various events to promote the breed and help educate potential owners.

Rescue Service/Rehoming: The club's rescue service cares for Vizslas, lost or needing a new home, until an appropriate new owner is available. For a variety of reasons, Vizslas sometimes require new homes, and older Vizslas are available occasionally through our Rescue service. Some prospective owners may prefer an older dog to a young puppy and people wanting to aquire an older Vizsla are matched with those available.
